I Wrote a Book

At 18th of November 2024 I pressed the button "Publish". After more than ten years of struggling, it was done: I had written and published a book.

The world isn't exactly encouraging anyone to do that. They say no-one really makes a living with writing. 

When younger, I listened the world. Instead of writing I picked a random profession that I struggled to like. 

At the age of 29 I got cancer. I knew already that job can be just an meaningless way to pay the bills. But with this short and uncertain, cancer-spiced life, how thrilling would it be to do something you not just tolerate, but what you'd enjoy.

After all those years, knowing what I want but doing something completely different and basically staring middle-age in the face, I did it. 

I wrote a book

- and the happiness, sense of self-worth and the pride it has given me, is beyond measure.

If it pays the bills, I couldn't tell you. Not yet, anyway.

This is written before the store was up. I hope I can launch the store in not too distant future. Then we'll see.
